Supported Operating Systems
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (i386, x86_64)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (i386, x86_64)
  • CentOS 4 (i386, x86_64)
  • CentOS 5 (i386, x86_64)
  • The respective versions from Fedora Core 2 to Fedora Core 6 (i386, x86_64)
  • The respective versions from Fedora 7 to Fedora 13 (i386, x86_64) * squashfs-tools is required to create custom recovery disc.
  • Ubuntu Linux 5.04, 5.10, 6.10, 7.04, 8.10, 10.04 (i386, x86_64) * ia32-libs is required in x86_64 environment.

Note: ActiveImage Protector Linux Edition supports IA-32/AMD64 architecture only.

Main Memory:
512MB is required. (1024MB or above is recommended.)
768MB is required in recovery environment.
Hard Disk Space Required
at Setup:
20MB or above of available hard disk space for Linux AIP

* To generate a recovery environment – Base space in install media + 1GB is required in / (root directory).
CD-ROM drive:
Required to boot up recovery environment
Supported File System:
Linux Ext2 / Linux Ext3 / Linux Ext4 / Linux Swap /
Linux LVM (volume group and logical volume) / Linux RAID

*Image file of any file system other than the above can be generated by full-sector backup.
